OBSERVATION MY ORAL PRESENTATION

NAME AND TOPIC: Observation your oral presentation! My topic, Los Angeles

PRESENTATION:
Did you use any resources? Yes I used my resources but not much because my parents were there 3 years ago and they gave me some information but I went to Wikipedia too.
Were the resources relevant and attractive? Yes I think, because I want to put funny and interesting information .


BODY LANGUAGE AND EYE CONTACT:
Did you look at the audience most of the time? Yes I did!
Did oyu read from your notes? No because I didn't pick up my paper and I only used some pictures.
Did you do any movement to hold the attention of your audience? I don't know, I allways were smiling.

STRUCTURE:
Did you organize your ideas in order of importance? Yes I did it!
Did you use discourse markets to make your ideas more clear? Yes in my writing I did it, but In my oral presentation I think that I've only said some but not much.


CONTENT:
Did you introduce interesting, New information to your audience? Yes I did it, but not much.
Did you look up information/facts/ideas in the Internet/books..? Yes, I picked up some information in the wikipedia, and my parents book.
Was your information more superficial or more detailed and original? More original!


LANGUAGE:
Did you use check your grammar? Yes I did.
Did you use rich vocabulary looking up the dictionary? No, only expressions.
Did you use sentence linkers? Yes I did.
Did you use fillers? Yes, in my opinion, a lot of!


PRONUNCIATION AND INTONATION:
Did you know how to pronounce all your words? Did you check this? My vocabulary were not very difficult.
Did you change your tone of voice or use a monotone tone all the time? Did you speed in a fluid continuum or with breaks and interruptions? I'd change my tone of voice and I spoke with breaks and interruptions.


SELF-EVALUATION:
You are your teacher! What mark did you get??;-) I think that I'd get a 7,5

Problems

Preperation:
1) What do you think of Clare's problems? It's normal for her age, because her friend won't to meet more people.
2) Would you be worried ofr annoyed if you sere in this situation? Yes, but not much.
3) What should Clare do to olve the problem with her friend? Speak!!
4) Who must she talk to and what must she say? She say that she think that she is losing his.
5) Do you think that Steve is a problem? Yes I do
6) what should Clare do about Steve? Speak with Steve.


Writing:

Dear Clare
If I sere you, I would be worried and annoyed but not much, because we sant to meet different people.
Obviosly, you should talk to your friend as quickly as possible. You must speak honestly and tell them that you are worried. If your friend was unfriendly, I think that she/he isn't your friend!!
As for the looks. you must try not to think about them. Unfortunately, people are strange sometimes, and you have to live with it.

ORAL PRESENTATION

Good morning everybody! My name is Paula Omedes Rigau and I'm a student at Casa Nostra School. I live in Malianta, near Banyoles.
Today I want to talk you about Los Angeles.
Do you know that L.A it's a place that a lot of toursim like to go on holiday time?


First I will start were is L.A. Los Angeles is situated in the USA, specifically in the state of California. California is next to the Pacific Ocean. It's only a 150 quilometres of Mexico.


Then I will go on the city. Los Angeles it's a city where you can find diversion, work, culture ... The most famous town in L.A is Hollywood wich is the city of the CINEMA. There you can find a lot of famous directors, actors and actriss.


Finally I will tolk about the type of people who live there. The Area Matropolitan of L.A have got 16 milion people who live there. Many famous that they are dedicate on the world of entertainment, live there. The houses are very big and you have to pay a lot of money.



To finish, I'd like to say one interesting think Los Angeles have got 22 sisters cities of the Sisters Cities International, Inc.

DESCRIPTION OF A BUILDING

SAGRADA FAMILIA La Sagrada Familia it's a Cathedral. It is situated in the center of Barcelona. It was designed by Antoni Gaudí and it was built between 1882 to 2009. The cathedral is made of stone. From the outside it is a big building, when the building were will be 18 towers. Inside, it has got a nice decoration. The pillars and the dome are good shpaes. I have visited the cathedral some times with my family and my school. I like to see it in the night because there are a lot of lights and everybody saids that is beautifull.

FOUR WEDDING AND ONE FUNERAL

CHAPTER 1

It's Laura and Angus wedding. Charles is their best man, who gove him the wedding ring. the wedding is two or three hours bu car from London, where Charles lives and he's sleeping.
Tom and Fiona (they are brother and sister) call Gareth and Mathew, who live together in an attractive house and they are boyfriends. Charles lives with one friend, Scarlett in London, wich is at two or three hours of the wedding. He forgot the ring.
They leave the church and they go to the reception. Charles seat with the family, because he's the best man. He make a speech to all the people. Later they start to dance. After that the bride and groom, Laura and Angus go into the car and they go to the honeymoon.
When all the ceremony finish, the group of friends get into the car and they drive away. In the middle of the way, charles jump out and he goes to the pub. In the pub, he finds one girl, Carrie, and they drink. After that they go to the bedroom and they make love. But in the morning, Carrie leaves Charles.

GIVING ADVICE

Paula: Hi Clàudia. You look worried. What's the matter?
Clàudia: Er... it's nothing.
Paula: Is it the French exam tomorrow? You shouldn't worry. You will pass easily.
Clàudia: I know.
Paula: Come on, tell me. What are you worried about?
Clàudia: Ok... it's Pau. I don't think he doesn't want to meet with me. Mariona was talking to him yesterday about this.
Paula: That's serious. His is importan for you, I know. What are you going to do?
Clàudia: I'm not sure. What do you tink?
Paula: If I were you, I'd speak to his friends. They're really friendly.
Clàudia: I've only met they one time. Can you come with me?
Paula: Yes, of course. Come on and find them.

THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA

Did you know? C.S. Lewis was a very good friend of J.R.R Tolkien. He got the idea for The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe when four children stayed at his house. They were bored, so he told them stories.

The Chronicles of Narnia was first published in 1950. There are seven books in the series. the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in his best-known book: it was recently voted the best children's book of all time in Great Britain. The books follow the adventures of a group of children who enter a maginc wardrobe and fine themselves in Narnia. Here they discover a magical world created by the Lion Aslan. But it is in danger and the children must fight with the forces of evil to save Narnia.


The writers of the TV series Lost are fans of C.S. Lewis. They called one character Charlotte Staples Lewis!

BARACK OBAMA

On 20 January, Barack Obama became America's 44th President... and the nation's first black President.

· Many americans never imagined they would see a black President. Only 50 years ago, Black leader Martin Luther King was fighting for equal rights for blacks.

· Barack Obama is of mixed race. His father was a black economist from Kenya. His mother waas a with anthropologist from Hawaii.

·Obama and his wife Michelle have to girls: Malia, age ten, and Sasha, age 7. They used to live in Chicago, Illinois. Now they live in the With House, the Presidential residence in Washington DC. Obama's family was very visible during his campaign. But Obama wants his children to live normal lives, away from the TV cameras.

MY OPINION

In my opinion, my sport it's very interesting because the result can change a lot... and you have fun when you are playing or watching the match.

Clàudia: Oh, yes. I'm phoning about tickets for the Championship Wimbledon in London

Paula: Yes, what match do you want to see?

Clàudia: I'm interested int he match between Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer. Can you give me 6 tickets please?

Paula: Yes, OK. They're all 600€.

Clàudia: Oh my god! There are very expensive no?

Paula: Yes, it's 100€ for one... I need your credit  card number, your name and address.

Clàudia: oh yes. it's...

DESCRIBING AN EVENT

Paula: Have you ever been to Wimbledon?

Mariona: No, what's that about?

Paula: Well, it's a Championship that the bests tennis players have a match.

Mariona: I already know that. What else happens?

Paula: Well, there are always lots of people and it's very exciting.

Mariona: When's it on?

Paula: it's two weeks on June and July.

Mariona: OK, that sounds good. Where's the best match to see?

Paula: well, the best is the Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer, because they are the bests.

INTERVIEW A CHAMPION

Paula: Hi, Rafa Nadal. How are you?

Rafa: Hi Paula. I'm good, thaks.

Paula: Well, the first think that i'm going to ask you is, Do you feel diferent because you are the best of the world?

Rafa: NO!! The diferent think is the people, because when i'm going to the street, all the persons came to me... haha

Paula: And what are your plans for the future?

Rafa: I don't like predict the future,  but I'm going to do all that I can.

A PROFILE OF THE SPORT

TENNIS is a sport wich has existe since  1890s. It started in Kingdom, but now a lot of people play it. It's one of the most popular sport in the world.

The biggest international bas

ketball competition is the Australian Open, the French Open, the Wimbledon and more, and they are the only tournaments regulated by the International Tennis Federation (ITF).

One of my favourite competitor is Rafa Nadal. Now he's the best player of tennis. She was the winner of a lot of matchs.

INTRODUCTION

Hi, I'm Paula Omedes Rigau, and now I'm going to explain you my oral presentation. I choose the sports one, because I think that I've got more thinks that I can tell to you. I choose TENNIS because I practise 2 times a week, and I love play it. 

BIOGRAPHY OF A FAMOUS SPORT PLAYER

Rafael Nadal parera is a Spanish professional tennis player. He was born in 3th of June of 1986 in Islas Baleares. He has got a girl friend, called Xispla.

He started to play tennis, for his uncle. Toni Nadal is a former professional tennis player, introduced him to tennis when he was young. Toni said that Rafael get a natural talent of tennis. When he was 12, he won the Spanish and Eurepean tennis titles in his age group.

He were playing tennis and football all the time. Nadal's father said that he need tho choose between football and tennis, because the school work not suffer. Nadal said: "I chose tennis. Football had to stop straight away".

When he was young, he started to won. And now he's the best player in all the world. Roger Federer is the best enemig of him.

VALENTINE'S DAY

On 14 February Valentine's Day is celebrated around the world.
Legend says that Valentine was a priest in ancident Rome. The Emperor, Claudius II, declared marriage illegal because he wanted men to be soldiers. Valentine married people in secret so Claudius sent him to prison. In prison Valentine became friends with the jailer's daughter. He wrote her a letter signed "from your Valentine."


American people buy over 100 millions roses for Valentine's Day!

TWILIGHT

Twilight is not a traditional story about good and evil. It is a series of four fantasy and romance novels about a teenager, Isabella Swan, who falls in love with a vampire called Edward Cullen. The series is one of the most popular written for teenagers and has sold over 17 millions copies in 37 countries. The other books in the series, New Moon and Eclipse, follow the adventures of Isabella. The final book, Breaking Dawn, is the grand finale.

The author is Stephenie Meyer, he wos born in 1973 on Hartford, Connecticut, USA.

I saw this film, and i loved it!
I'm reading the first book, and it's very interesting! All my friends said me that all the books are very interesting and they liked a lot!
